Position: President and CEO
Mr. Richard Schmitt as President and CEO of the Company. Mr. Schmitt brings over 29 years of diverse international experience in the upstream oil and gas industry with expertise in exploration, exploitation, operations, new ventures and demonstrated strength in strategic planning and negotiations. Mr. Schmitt obtained a B.Sc. Hon. in geological sciences from the University of Aston and has held senior management positions with Occidental Petroleum, Canadian Occidental and Clyde Petroleum, among others. Mr. Schmitt has spent a significant part of his career managing and developing projects in the prolific oil basins of Yemen and his expertise and experience in this region will be of great benefit to Africa Oil Corp. as the Company pursues a major oil exploration program in Puntland, Somalia.

Position: Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Moulds brings to Africa Oil 9 years of financial experience in the oil and gas sector. He is a United States Certified Public Accountant (Illinois) and a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan where he obtained a bachelor of commerce degree.

Position: Director
Previously Mr. Hill was founder, President and CEO of Valkyries Petroleum Corp., a publicly traded oil and gas company, since August 2002. Mr. Hill previously served as General Manager of Lundin Oil AB's operations in Malaysia and Sudan. Mr. Hill has over 22 years experience in the oil industry including international new venture management and senior exploration positions at Occidental Petroleum and Shell Oil Company. His education includes a Master of Science degree in Geology and Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics from Michigan State University as well as an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Houston.

Position: Director
Mr. Bailey was formerly a Managing Director of Network Capital and is a Chartered Financial Analyst with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary. He has worked in the energy investment business, specifically investment banking for the past 19 years. Mr. Bailey was previously Managing Director of Corporate Finance at Peters & Co. Limited, a Calgary based investment firm specializing in oil and gas. He is the founder of, and has organized, the initial public offerings for a number of oil and gas exploration and production, and oilfield services companies. Mr. Bailey has assisted many growing and start-up oil and gas companies by providing advisory services, primarily for mergers and acquisitions, and was a key member of the executive committee and the Board of Directors of Peters & Co. Limited. In 1997, Mr. Bailey founded Energy Processors Inc., a midstream service provider in the Canadian oil and gas industry. Energy Processors was acquired by AltaGas Services Inc. in 1999. Since 2003 Mr. Bailey has been C.E.O. and Director of Signal Energy Inc.

Position: Director
Gary Guidry is a Petroleum Engineer by training and an Alberta-registered Professional Engineer who is currently President and CEO of Tanganyika Oil Corp., an oil exploration and production company with operations in Syria. Mr. Guidry brings to the Board of Africa Oil Corp. an extensive background and proven track record in international petroleum development and project execution, operating in diverse environments ranging from deep-water West Africa and the Gulf of Mexico, South American rainforests to the deserts of the Middle East. Mr. Guidry also serves on the Board of Pearl Exploration and Production Ltd. He has been a director of Africa Oil Corp. since June 2008.
